All Infratech Heaters come with standard 6" Extension Mounting Brackets. The 6" bracket meets the necessary clearance to combustibles requirement to ensure proper installation to all surfaces. With that said, there may be installations with higher ceilings that require lowering the heaters, moving them closer to people and objects for ideal heat coverage. This comes in handy when you may want to use lower wattage heaters, due to limited space on your electrical panel, but the recommended mounting height is lower than your actual ceiling height. By using extension mounting brackets, they will lower the heater into the proper mounting height range. Infratech extension mounting brackets come in the the standard length of 6" with additional lengths of 8", 10" and 12". They come in the three Infratech Heater Series of C/CD, W/WD and SL and may be purchased in the colors of stainless steel, black, white, bronze, biscuit, beige, almond, copper, gray and marine grade stainless steel.
